A new school year is a new journey. I knew it very well that the school year 2008-2009 was already started. I am not yet ready to face new challenges in life but I have to. Last vacation I used to wake up late in the morning. It's a hard adjustment waking up too early. From my normal 6:00 am wake up time to 5:00 am. That's life and I have to face it. I have to be ready, ready for many things, for great adjustments. From a sophomore, I am now a junior. Another year of hardships and success. I'm ready.
Well Tuesday has come; I woke up early to go to school. My mother drove for me to the school. As I enter the school, I saw that the flag raising ceremony is about to start so I ran so fast to go to my room and I left my things there. The flag ceremony started. Ma'am de Vera, our principal, gave us the welcome remarks. She formally opened the school year 2008-2009. When we were dismissed by our platoon leader, we went to our room. This was the start of a day without an electric fan. It was so hot. We had our Physics class with our new adviser. As usual, telling my classmates my name was already a practice during the start of classes. "My name is Glenerson B. Ontiveros" is that a big deal? Then after our classes, we had our recess. Oh my gosh! After eating, I went outside to throw my plastic bottle. When I threw the plastic bottle, Ma'am Pareja saw me. She talked to me. I was ashamed. First day high! After our studies, we had our lunch. I ate outside the school with my classmates. We arrived early at our room after we ate. We had our math; we were just given our books. Then at our afternoon classes, we were asked to choose our elective subject. I chose Zoology and our teacher is Ma'am Macaranas. Yes! Our last subject was Advanced Statistics. We laughed and joked with our teacher. The end of the day is approaching, I had to go home. This year I started to commute. I rode the bus and went home.
Wednesday, another day of challenges. Today we had our diagnostic tests. Though it's difficult, this was just a test to measure how we know about our subjects. Before we took the tests, our teacher brought two electric fans in our room. Yes! It eased our burden. We took the tests. I did not answer the test too seriously but I still read the questions and choices. Most of the questions on the tests are "never heard". The questions were difficult and I only got a few correct answers. I don't have to be ashamed of my scores because those were the only things I know about the subject. I'm proud because I know some things about our subjects. Though few, I still know things about our subjects. After I ate my lunch, I went to our room for our class election. I was elected as the class president. I know it will be a great responsibility but I will try my best in doing my works as the class president. I now have an initiative for my works. I need to be more responsible. That is what I will do. After our class had voted for our class officers, I hanged up with the girls in our class. We told funny stories until it went to stories of supernatural things. That was how wide our imaginations were. Then when it was already time, I went home.
It's Thursday today. We had the second part of our tests. Like the first tests, the second tests were also difficult. It had been hard for me answering the questions in the test. I took some tests seriously because I know the tests will also reflect to me. The club organizations were launched today. I joined Science Club. I'm quite excited in our year level and school level elections. I ate my lunch outside the school. When I came back, I grouped my classmates according to their clubs. After I had grouped them, they went to their respective clubs for their meeting and election. Our meeting for 3rd year Science Club is at the chemistry laboratory. Our year level club only had 12 members. The funny thing was we were all officers. I was elected as president. Another great responsibility. A great club needs a great leader. I'll try to be one. We talked about our projects for this school year. After we talked, the school level president came in and started the year level meeting. We had our school level election. There are new faces on this club. New faces of the freshmen. I was automatically placed as the vice president because I am the chemistry club president. This was a great challenge to me. This was a great job and it gave me a great responsibility. Next year I hope I will be the president, a good president but also a good follower, I will try my best. Well, I still have 1 year to prepare. Our president is also there to support me and to train me. On this day I received a lot of responsibilities. I must learn to manage my time on everything. I hope I can perform my job well. My day went so good. I'm very inspired today.
Friday, the last day on school. My day went back to normal. No more tests but today we checked our tests. I saw the outcome of my tests and I know those were not good. I ate and ate today. My day went on and on by just checking test papers. It's quite boring but the statistics class was great. I laughed and laughed because of our teacher. Our last period was vacant and was used for club meetings. I had a meeting with the Science Club. After that I went home.

A new school year; the start of a new journey
I know I cannot express my self through words because I am not too vocal. I know this is one way I can tell what I feel. This is great. This is my first entry and post. Thanks to all! God Bless!
